Bear Proof Trash Receptacle

When a bear gets into your trash you’ve got a BIG mess and a BIG problem. This new Model BPR1/CW-36 Bear Proof Trash Receptacle is designed to keep bears out. The contemporary round design offers sleek exterior sides. The hatch sits flush and tight with the top. The bear has no place to get a grip. Other un-bear-able features include:

• Construction: All heavy 14 ga. steel fabrication. The round shape provides structural strength. Brown textured powder coat paint finish is standard. Other colors are available. (See Materials Options.)

• Large Hatch Opening: The 16-inch diameter hinged hatch opens up for easy depositing of trash. A custom made extra wide hinge keeps the round lid from twisting. The hatch edge is vinyl trimmed for safety and provides a more weather tight seal.

• Hatch Trigger: The spring loaded trigger release for the hatch is covered to limit access to human fingers only.

• Front Access Door: The front door design provides easier access to the liner inside. A front door provides you with more installation location options. The door fits flush with the sides so a bear can’t get a grip. The door release is inside the receptacle and accessible when the hatch is open. Two latch points keep the door tightly closed.

• Installation: Fully assembled. Includes 36-gallon heavy duty rigid plastic liner. Four-point surface anchor base with (4) ½” x 5” concrete screw anchor bolts included (#ANC5-4). Receptacle sits off the ground for extended service life.

• Optional: Textured powder coat finish is available in brown, green or black colors.

• Optional: Band-It trash bag loop to hold your trash bag on the (included) rack. (See Trash and Recycling Accessories.)

• Optional: A pair of outriggers (below) bolt to the receptacle to give it a broad stable stance on top of the ground. Use the outriggers for areas where you can’t bolt the receptacle to a concrete surface.
