All components of this accessible charcoal grill are fabricated from stainless steel.
The ASWS-20 Charcoal Grill provides 300 sq. inches of cooking space on a singl- level swivel grate. The grate rotates 180° over the charcoals or completely out of the firebox, and the handle is designed so it’s never over the heat.
This accessible charcoal grill is fully ADA compliant for reach and operability, making it ideal for ADA campsites and parks. The cooking grate requires less than 5 lbs. of force to move and can be operated with one hand (ADA-ABA 309.4). The cooking surface is under 34” high (ADA-ABA 902.3), making it a truly wheelchair accessible grill.
The stainless steel firebox rotates 360° and is 6” high on the swivel side and 10” high on the other side, providing wind protection. It’s mounted on a theft-proof swivel attachment and is constructed from heavy-duty 3/16” steel with flanges to retain ashes and resist heat warping.
The swivel cooking grate included in this unit is a single piece, laser cut from 7 ga. (3/16”) thick stainless steel plate and includes a stainless steel swivel tube and handle with coiled grip. The stainless steel components are not painted, so there will be visible weld marks.
OPTIONAL: Model B19S stainless steel surface mount/bolt-down base post (instead of standard embedded post). Becomes Model ASWS-20 B19S. Surface anchor bolts are not included - use Model ANC1-4SS Concrete Anchor Kit with stainless steel anchors.
